How easy is it to compare the different bank rates? Does the site offer tables, graphs or a rate calculator? Is information for online customers easy to find?.
Leading Personal Finance Publications!
There are multiple categories of online calculators to choose from with MonitoBankRates. But they require a Java platform to upload first. It takes some time for a bank comparison. There are graphics and complex-looking numbers all over the place. Too much detail and not enough simplicity.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..
There are 10 major category tabs to navigate through, but it’s not easy pickings. The site is loaded with material and the font size could be bordering on the small side. The pages scroll downwards for eternity and it’s simply not the type of site that a non-finance oriented individual would be happy with.

How detailed are the different bank comparison descriptions? Is the information on rates easy to follow or written in complex jargon? Are the various bank rate options easy to compare and are breakdowns provided? We graded on content..
If detail is the deciding factor in this descriptor then they pass with flying colors. Perhaps a ‘bank compare’ category would suffice? But we believe they have placed such a cumbersome burden on the reader that there is little reason to want to read further. We prefer simplicity, less text and more user-friendly content.

Why is it different to other bank rate comparison websites? We graded on originality and innovation..
In fairness to MBR, they do sport a page solely dedicated to Widgets. Otherwise the only difference we see setting them apart from their competition is the immense volume of ad space they allow for other products and services. It’s really annoying and unprofessional.

Can you contact the site with queries? This grades the email support and telephone contacts available to users..
Good luck in this department.  The best we could find was a lone online form with no email addresses or other contact details. Again a big failure on their part.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out..
With the exception of the Widgets, we came up with nothing. Are these guys for real? This is really disappointing to us in an age where social networking is the key to publicizing your brand.

We searched high and low and could not locate anything here. Nothing at all. We are utterly disappointed with this site.

Is this site safe? Does the site protect my personal information? Is the privacy policy easy to find? Will this site bombard me with emails or share my details with other providers? Is this site recommended or verified by a regulator?.
In this department they do a fine job of informing their clientele that they are not responsible for the loss of data or sensitive information owing to security breaches and the like. This does not inspire confidence in either their on-site security or their privacy policy.
