MortgageFit is more of a community service than a serious financial organization. They offer advice to lenders, provide mortgage mentoring, forums and other guides. The services they offer are mediocre at best.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..
This is an extremely simplistic site. There is a basic template with 6 category tabs leading to the following options: home, mortgage quote, 41 calculators, forums, ask questions and lenders. It’s certainly not a memorable online mortgage rates site and as such it’s easy to forget about.

They provide mortgage calculators for home affordability, mortgage, refinance, debt, tax savings and retirement planning. These are simple, user-friendly tools. They are easy to find, easy to use and accurate. We were impressed by their offerings.

This is an online community of lenders, borrowers and common folk who contribute towards providing one another with accurate and easy-to-understand information. They do a fair job, but it’s a grass-roots mortgage banks initiative which means it may overlook some technical or legal information.

The concept itself – creating online forums and user-generated content – is novel. Most mortgage companies today try to shovel complex industry lingo down your throat. MortgageFit has chosen another path. The jury is out on their techniques.

This entire site is built on the concept of integration and interaction. There are forums, Q&As and lots of email communication. However there are no Facebook, Twitter or Yahoo links allowing for further sharing.

In the same vein as one would expect from poorly designed sites, there is a rudimentary support section. Names and email addresses adorn a page with no live support and no video tutorials We are not very impressed at all.

Is this site safe? Does the site protect my personal information? Is the privacy policy easy to find? Will this site bombard me with emails or share my details with other providers? Is this site recommended or verified by a regulator?.
They don’t share clients’ personal and private financial details with any third party until and unless specifically authorized by the party. They hope to uphold the faith and trust with which customers have entrusted them with their private information to help them process loan requests. It’s a little wishy-washy for our liking.
