CreditCardGuide.com, a Bankrate Inc. property, is dedicated to providing its clients with a free one-stop online credit card resource center and links to instant online applications. They also present side-by-side comparison of the best credit cards on the Internet from the top banks and card companies.

Just what services does this online credit card site offer? Can customers log-in to accounts and check balances, statements, pay bills, top-up, use pre-paid services and transfer money? If so, how easy is it to do?.

CreditCardGuide explains that choosing a credit card should be made simple. They have a huge variety of credit card offers. The supposed purpose of their site is to offer clients the tools to compare and find the best credit cards. What we found however was simply a morass of information. We got buried so deep in variety that we completely lost direction.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

Navigation is all over the place on this site. We were bombarded with so much text on the homepage that we were unsure where to move next. These guys are well intentioned but hopelessly misguided in the norms of selection and information procurement.

How is this site protected? Is there information on site security? Does the site use firewalls or other measures? How does it protect from fraud or online identity theft? We read the small print so you don't have to..

DOZENbanks.com was unable to locate any data relating to site security. This is a major disappointment especially when dealing with sensitive financial data. It could be that because they re-route traffic to credit card vendors that there is no security – either way we were not impressed.

What rewards are offered to online customers? Is there a reward club or reward programs? If so, what do they offer deals on - flights, insurance or other products? We breakdown the deals and evaluate the rewards on offer. .

CreditCardGuide is not a provider of credit cards; they merely act as facilitators – providing information on what options are available to clients. Their rewards options are plentiful but they are merely re-routing traffic to other places.

Why is it different to other credit card sites? We graded on originality and innovation..

This online company provides users with a service that is somewhat innovative. It offers a wide variety of the well-known brands and lesser-known brands so that clients can select what they want from a list. This in itself can be very helpful. We’re happy with this aspect of their performance.

Is this site safe? Does the site protect my personal information? Is the privacy policy easy to find? Will this site bombard me with emails or share my details with other providers? Is this site recommended or verified by a regulator?.

Bankrate takes your privacy seriously, and has published their privacy policy to explain how Bankrate treats all information clients submit to their site, except that information which is submitted pursuant to a sweepstakes entry. They are doing an okay job. But we don’t like knowing that our information is being disseminated all over the place.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out..

There are multiple Blog and RSS feeds coming out of this conglomerate of sites. It’s a super platform for networking and it’s very active with traffic flow. Good work here. More is needed though.

Can you contact the site with queries? This grades the email support, live chat and telephone contacts available to users..

There are multiple contact details for Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover. But don’t expect to find any contact numbers on site – at least not easily – they’re not here.

Clients will find that they will be re-directed to the respective credit card issuers for all their support queries.
